Dr. Rottenberg specializes in Medical Oncology (2009) and Geriatric Rehabilitation (2012) at the Hadassah Cancer Research Institute, where he is engaged in advanced collaborative cancer research with HCRI’s Cancer Computational Biology laboratory. Yakir and his team of research students are investigating the correlation between specific types of cancers and specific types of treatments by analyzing data on over 2050 immunotherapies and examining the long-term effects on cognitive change.
Yakir is also the Head, Palliative Service at Hadassah Medical Center, is a member of the Medical Patent Committee of both the Israeli Ministry of Health and Hadassah. Additionally, he is a member of the Academic Committee, Multidisciplinary Center for Cannabinoid Research, Head, Israeli Palliative care Group, ISCORT (The Israeli Society for Clinical Oncology and Radiation Therapy and has previously served as Israel’s National Representative at the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) 2010-2018.
