Breast Cancer Center
At the Breast Cancer Center, we firmly believe that early detection is our most potent tool against breast cancer. Statistics indicate that one in every nine women in Israel will face this disease at some point in her life. Early detection paves the way to effective treatment, improved quality of life, and survival.
Understanding Breast Cancer
Breast cancer occurs when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control, forming a tumor. These cells can often invade surrounding tissues and spread to other areas of the body.
High-Risk Indicators for Breast Cancer
Certain factors may increase a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. These include a family history of breast cancer, especially if cancer occurred at an early age, before the age of 50, or appeared in both breasts or was accompanied by ovarian cancer. Some women may also have a genetic predisposition to breast cancer.
Symptoms of Breast Cancer
In most cases, the first sign of breast cancer is a lump in the breast. However, it’s essential to be aware of other symptoms, such as changes in the shape or size of the breast, skin lesions, persistent itchiness, and discomfort.
